FAQ
Clipping questions, answered
What is a clipping distribution network?Popular
A clipping distribution network turns your long-form content into short vertical clips and gets them seen at a scale a single account cannot reach. Exponential Clips runs a network of over 430 EU-based clippers and creators and cuts 15–25 clips from every hour of source video, It formats each one natively for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and X, and posts them on a schedule built around the first hours that decide a clip's reach.
What is short-form video distribution?Popular
Short-form video distribution is the system that gets your clips seen rather than merely posted. It covers per-platform formatting, posting cadence, scheduling inside the recency window and ongoing optimisation against real performance data. Production decides how good a clip is; distribution decides how many people ever see it.
What's the difference between clipping accounts and targeted campaigns?Popular
Both are available, and most clients use one or the other rather than both. Clipping accounts means we run dedicated accounts across our network of 430+ EU-based clippers and creators, so your content reaches audiences your own channels never touch. That model is built for volume and discovery. Targeted clip campaigns means clips go out natively on your own channels, aimed at a defined audience: your sector, your buyers, your named accounts. That model is built for precision. We work out which fits on the first call.
What exactly am I buying?
A managed clipping and distribution engine, run across a network of over 430 EU-based clippers and creators. You send long-form footage; we run the content audit, cut 15–25 clips per source hour, produce a separate native edit for each of the five platforms, schedule and post them, and report monthly on which clips and hooks performed. Monthly, no lock-in.
Which platforms do you post to?Popular
TikTok first, then Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and X. Each gets its own edit rather than one master file reposted, with different safe zones, hook pacing, caption styling and aspect handling per platform.
Do you run TikTok clipping specifically?
Yes, TikTok is the primary channel for most of our clients and the one we build the edit around first. Hook in the first two seconds, burned-in captions, vertical 9:16 with correct safe zones, and posting timed to the recency window.
Do you do Instagram Reels, LinkedIn and X clipping too?
Yes. Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and X all get dedicated cuts from the same source video. The pacing and caption treatment differ per platform, because what holds attention on Reels is not what holds it on X.
What if I don't have any long-form video yet?
We can help you create it. Most companies have more usable footage than they think: podcasts, demos, streams, interviews, launch material. So we start by auditing what exists. If there genuinely isn't any, our third service covers format planning, recording setup and a production cadence you can keep, so the clipping engine has something to run on.
Do you do podcast clipping?
Yes, and it's one of the highest-yield sources. A single one-hour podcast episode typically produces 15–25 short-form clips across all five platforms, which is usually several weeks of scheduled posting from one recording.
How many clips do I get from one video?
Typically 15–25 clips per hour of source video, plus the separate per-platform edits cut from them. Exact volume is agreed up front, and it's what the delivery guarantee is measured against.
How quickly do the first clips go live?
Within 7 days of the kick-off call. The first few days cover the content audit and hook strategy, and clips start going out inside the first week.
How much of my time does this take?
Almost none after onboarding. You send footage and read a monthly report. You don't cut, caption, format, schedule or post, and approval is optional rather than a bottleneck.
What is the recency window?
The first hours after a clip is posted, when platforms decide how widely to distribute it. Posting inside that window deliberately, rather than whenever someone gets round to it, is one of the largest controllable factors in how far a clip travels.
Do you buy views or use bot accounts?Popular
No. No bought views, no bot traffic, no engagement pods. Clips go out either from your own channels or from real, human-run clipping accounts in our EU network. Every account belongs to a person, which is slower than buying numbers and the only version that survives contact with a platform's spam detection.
Is this safe for my brand and my accounts?
Yes. On targeted campaigns everything goes out from your own channels, in your voice, against a brief you approve, and you can review any clip first. On clipping accounts nothing touches your handles at all, so there is no risk to them either way.
How do you report on results?
Monthly: clips shipped, platform-by-platform performance, which hooks pulled and which didn't, and what we're changing next month as a result. The report is built around what to do differently, not a wall of view counts.
What's the guarantee, precisely?
If we don't deliver the agreed clip volume, cut and posted natively across all five platforms in a given month, that month is free. We guarantee the work because that's what we control, anyone guaranteeing you a view count is guessing with your money.
How much does clipping cost?Popular
Two models, two ways to pay. Targeted campaigns run on a flat monthly fee from €1,000, scoped to your clip volume and platforms, billed monthly with no lock-in. Clipping accounts are priced on an agreed CPM per 1,000 verified views, so you are only charged for reach that actually lands. Most campaigns run €1,000 to €150,000+, and either way it usually sits well under the CPM you would pay for the same impressions on paid social. You get a firm number on the first call.
How does this compare to paid social ads?
On cost per thousand impressions it is typically several times cheaper than Meta or TikTok ads, because you're not renting placements. The calculator above compares directly against a stated benchmark. The bigger difference is durability: ads stop the day the budget does, while clips keep accumulating views for months.
Can I cancel?
Any month, with no notice period and no exit fee, and you keep every asset we've made: source cuts, captions, thumbnails and schedule. The work should be the reason you stay.
Can you make my content go viral?Popular
No one can promise that, and anyone who does is guessing with your money. What we control is the number of shots you get: volume, hook quality, native formatting per platform, and posting inside the window that decides reach. Going viral is a probability game. Our job is to make you play it far more often than one upload a week allows.
How many clients do you take on?
We onboard four new clients a month. Clipping at this volume is production work, and taking on more than that is how agencies end up shipping late or shipping badly. If the month is full you go on the list for the next one.
Which industries do you work with?
We focus on six: SaaS companies, AI companies, DTC apps, crypto, mobile gaming and gaming, and personal brands. All six already produce long-form footage constantly and sell into audiences that live on short-form feeds.
